Invincible Holland: Press reports reflect increasing national coherence in the ninth month of the 'Invincible Holland' assembly
Global Country of World Peace Translate This Article
8 January 2007
19 December was the 7th day of the ninth month of Dutch national consciousness rising to invincibility, as indicated by the following press reports:
19 December 2006
Trouw: 'Government has to give meaning to life' - Holland needs a common ground and the government has to concern itself with the meaning of life, says the Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR) in its study, 'Belief in the public domain'. It was thought that secularization in Holland would lead to humanism; however this has not happened. The quest for the meaning of life remains, and two new groups have arisen: the 'unattached spirituals' and the 'non-religious non-humanists.' The 'unattached spirituals' are interested in Yoga and meditation and make up a quarter of the Dutch population.
De Telegraaf: 'Good year for farmers' - Farmers can look back on 2006 with satisfaction. In general, the income of the whole sector increased.
De Telegraaf: 'Majority of people very sceptical about Uruzgan mission' - The Dutch people are very sceptical about the missions of the Dutch military to Uruzgan in Afghanistan, and to Iraq. Anger about this issue is being directed toward the government.
De Telegraaf: 'Bird population seems to recover' - According to the bird count held last weekend, the number of birds appears to be increasing again, in comparison to previous years.
Het Financieele Dagblad: 'Brussels even more optimistic about economic growth' - Economic growth in Europe in 2007 may be higher than the official prognosis of the European Commission. The outlook for the German economy is especially positive.
