On 7 December 2006 Flaunt Magazine reported: Researchers have found that world peace could be created iimmediately if about 8,000 people, which is the square root of one per cent of the world's population, practised an advanced form of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation technique together. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of world peace.

This mathematical formula, (verified by over 50 studies) will decrease stress and violence around the world.

Flaunt magazine explained that 'during meditation, the mind is said to reach a state of Transcendental Consciousness, in which the individual ''transcends'' the finest level of mental activity and connects to a unified field. According to quantum physics theory, this is the single fundamental field to which all major forces in nature and all matter (human beings included) belong.'

The article further explained that individuals practising Transcendental Meditation create waves of peace that spread throughout the entire field.

Flaunt magazine quoted TM practitioner Steven Yellin as saying,' Coherence is the key to impacting change on a larger scale.' He explained the concept with the example of a light bulb, which radiates incoherent light. However, if just one per cent of the photons become orderly, the other photons become orderly as well, and the result is a beam of laser light.

Yellin compared this phenomenon to the 'Maharishi Effect' and was quoted in the article as saying, 'When a certain number of people meditate at the same time, their brain waves become coherent, or very orderly, like a laser beam [and] it has a general effect of reducing the collective stress in society.'

The 'Invincible America Course', which started in July in Fairfield, Iowa and Washington, DC, puts this theory into practice by having large groups of people meditating together to create global positivity and harmony.

The article concludes by saying, 'It may be difficult for some folks to understand that we can actually impact the world positively just by sitting with our eyes closed and practicing an ancient formula for peace, but Yellin brings up a good point; ''The laws of nature are not dependent on human reason or belief.'''

Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
