Yogi's group chooses 3 Cuyahoga sites for 'Peace Palaces'

On 21 November 2006 The Plain Dealer reported: With plans to unify 'all nations in happiness, prosperity, invincibility and perfect health' the Global Country of World Peace has chosen sites to build Peace Palaces in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of world peace.

The 12,000-square-foot Peace Palaces are planned for Parma, Strongsville, and Mayfield Heights, Ohio on four to five acres of land each.

The Peace Palaces will offer health treatments, including spa-type treatments, Transcendental Meditation, and Ayurveda.

Richard Quinn, the Global Country of World Peace representative was quoted as saying, 'The natural health facilities will offer a broad range of 52 programmes.'

The Plain Dealer reported that land was purchased 'on Huffman Road in Parma earlier this year for $1.025 million, according the Cuyahoga County Auditor's Web site.' And that land was also purchased 'on Lander Road in Mayfield Heights for $1.3 million.

The third site has yet to be purchased.

Plans are being made to borrow $51 million to build the Peace Palaces through the sale of bonds.
