Friday's Hanuman Jayanti celebration was particularly full, as it also marked the Silver Jubilee of Maharishi's Sahasrashirsha Purusha, Thousand Headed Purusha Programme, marking 25 years of Purusha blessing the world.
Purusha is a coherence creating group of single men dedicated to pursuing their evolution and creating world peace through a uniquely designed routine involving extended experience of Maharishi's programmes. All the Purusha groups around the world were connected by video-conference and they presented Maharishi with a beautiful declaration they had prepared. Maharishi was very pleased with their offering, saying that he valued highly each and every word of their declaration, and gave them his blessings.
Maharishi then asked for Purusha members to express their feelings about the declaration, and about a dozen new and original members of the Purusha programme gave beautiful expressions of Vedic Knowledge based on their experiences and sentiments of devotion to the Holy Tradition of Masters. All of the speakers deeply thanked Maharishi for the opportunity to live their blessed lifestyle under his supreme divine guidance.
Hanuman Jayanti was an ideal day to celebrate Purusha's anniversary, as Maharishi said Hanuman represents the ideal Purusha. Maharishi said the tradition of Purusha is the tradition of Hanuman. The tradition of Hanuman is the tradition of Ram; and the tradition of Ram is the tradition of Brahm, Totality. In the Ramayana, Hanuman was the servant of Ram who was completely devoted to Ram, that administrating intelligence of Nature representing ideal rulership and perfection in life.
Hanuman was capable of accomplishing great sidhis and demonstrated the ability to fly, based on his self-referral practice exemplified by the famous phrase in the Vedic Literature about Hanuman, 'Bara Bara Raghubhira', which is the reality of returning back to Atma, the Self, again and again. This self-referral practice is the very nature of Purusha; this is how Purusha functions and how Purusha is blessing the world with invincibility.
Maharishi said that in Kali Yuga, the time of ignorance past, the supreme value of Purusha was jammed, not flowing. Now, after 25 years of Maharishi's Thousand Headed Purusha Programme, the world is flowing in the value of Purusha, ushering in a new destiny of mankind, when the world will be floating in waves of bliss.
So this day in the Vedic Calendar was very fitting for celebrating the existence of Purusha, the group which has been blessing the world for 25 years, supporting world consciousness from the silent level of administration, enlivening bliss and invincibility for all life on Earth.
