Saint John asked to meditate on 'peace palace' plan
CBC Translate This Article
25 October 2006
On 25 October 2006 CBC reported:
'The Global County for World Peace wants to foster harmony and relaxation in the port city.'
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of world peace.
CBC reported that the Saint John city council has been asked to donate land for a peace palace, one of 3,000 to be built in the world's largest cities.
Having a peace palace in Saint John would benefit the whole city by reducing crime and increasing economic activity, Miville Couture a spokesperson for the group said.
According to the plan laid out for the council, the peace palace would house an invincibility school 'where up to 100 high school students would study the traditional academic curriculum and 'practice technologies for the development of consciousness, including Transcendental Meditation.'
Although the Saint John city council will not meet to discuss the plan until January, one of the councilmen is already in favour of the project.
CBC reported that 'Ivan Court is a retired teacher who recently attended a workshop given by Canadians for Stress-Free Schools, a group connected the TM movement.'
'He says a peace palace could help students achieve more in school,' CBC reported, and also quoted Court as saying, 'They seem to have all kinds of research indicating that is the result of it, and there probably is some validity in that in the sense that we're in such a rush every day.'
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
