GOOD NEWS GETS BETTER . . .

31 August 2006

Today is the 9th day of the second month of United States national consciousness rising to invincibility, as indicated by the following press reports.

UPBEAT ECONOMY

The good economic news keeps getting better . . .

Bloomberg News: US Stocks Rise on Economic Growth; Dow Sets Three-Month High - The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose to 11,382.91, the highest since May 16.

Bloomberg: Investor Optimism on US Stocks Rises to a Five-Week High

It is interesting to note that our Course started five weeks ago, coinciding perfectly with the rise in the stock market.

Bloomberg News: US Treasuries Gain; Demand at Auction Reaches Nine-Year High - Treasury notes are headed for a second straight monthly gain, easing inflation fears.

Bloomberg News: U.S. Retailers Report Unexpected Sales Gains in August

Associated Press: New unemployment claims dip - The number of Americans filing first-time claims for unemployment benefits dipped from a five-month high in July.

Here is a sign of the positive influence of our large group of Yogic Flyers in Iowa . . .

Reuters: US Midwest business activity expands in August

With less tension in the Middle East and no hurricanes to disrupt to oil production, the price of oil is going down, which is translating into cheaper prices at the gasoline pump . . .

USA Today: Gasoline prices are falling fast - from an average high of $3.10 per gallon a few weeks ago and could keep dropping for months down to $2 by Thanksgiving, according to the Oil Petroleum Institute.

SUPPORT OF NATURE

Nature is smiling on the US. Still no hurricanes this year even though we are in the peak of hurricane season . . .

Reuters: Storm Fizzles: Florida braced for a hurricane that never came - The storm called Ernesto headed north toward the Carolinas on Wednesday after puffing through much of Florida with no more vigour than an ordinary summer squall, delivering a lot of rain but none of the heavy winds that had been once feared.

More good environmental news . . .

San Francisco Chronicle: Historic deal to reduce global warming - California will become the first state in the country to require industries to lower greenhouse gas emissions under a deal struck yesterday by Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Democratic legislators.

Reuters: Earth's formerly thin ozone layer is recovering - A new study released yesterday in a major climate scientific journal, Geophysical Research - Atmospheres, reported that earth's protective ozone layer, which was notably thinning in 1980, is quickly recovering—and, in fact, may be fully recovered by mid-century.

CALMING TENSIONS IN GLOBAL HOTSPOTS

It is clear from the news that the 1400 to 1500 Yogic Flyers on the Invincible America Course are sufficient to positively influence the national economy and even national weather patterns. It is also clear that we need more Yogic Flyers—at least the Super Radiance number of 1730—to dramatically and immediately halt international conflict. Nonetheless, our numbers are high enough to create a moderating influence on the US government's response to international crises and to send a calming influence through the world. For example, today is the deadline for Iran to stop enriching uranium, but experts say the US probably won't push hard for swift sanctions as it did—disastrously—several years ago with Iraq . . .

The Christian Science Monitor: The likely US course on Iran: Go slow - 'The argument to go slow—to not take a confrontational approach with Iran—is looking like the best way to go for some hard-liners in the Bush administration, said an Iran expert at Georgetown University in Washington. 'The administration is suffering from 'confrontation exhaustion,' and does not want undermine international opposition to Iran's nuclear plans.'

Also from the Middle East, a sign that 'rocks may be melting' . . .

The New York Times: Hamas Spokesman Blames Palestinians, Not Israel, for Gaza Chaos - In an unusual instance of self-criticism, a well-known Hamas official has deplored the collapse of life in the Gaza into chaos and has said that much of the blame belongs to Palestinians themselves—and not Israel. He also questioned the utility of firing rockets into Israel that result in many Palestinian deaths when the Israelis retaliate.

This is just a taste of the wonderful good news coming from the United States on the 9th day of the second month of the Invincible America Course.

Groups of experts in Yogic Flying are engaged in creating coherent national consciousness in the United States, the Netherlands, Canada, Hamsa (Hungary), and an increasing number of other nations, which are enjoying a dramatic and sustained upsurge in positive economic and social trends.

Dr Paul Gelderloos, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace for the Netherlands, reports that 400 Yogic Flyers have been assembled at MERU, the Netherlands, since 12 April 2006.

Extensive research published in the world's leading scientific journals has found that the group practice of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme Yogic Flying by the square root of one per cent of a population is sufficient to reduce negative trends, including crime and violence, and to promote positive economic and social tendencies throughout society.

The cost to train and employ such a group is a small fraction of what any government spends on its military in a single day.

Maharishi's approach to invincibility is in sharp contrast to the conventional military approach. 'Our approach does not require the government to sacrifice the youth for the sake of the nation-because when the youth are killed in war, then for whom is the nation?' Maharishi said.

The harmony and progress of the human race is founded on the internal harmony and progress of every individual. No stress, no strain, no impediment, no difficulty can withstand the totally benign influence of the enlivenment of the Unified Field of Natural Law, the field of Transcendental Consciousness, the field of pure knowledge, through Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme.
