Global Country of World Peace Press Release:
New Parliament buildings need to be constructed to prevent terrorist attack
Existing parliament buildings—not constructed in harmony with Natural Law—attract negative and destructive influences
Nation's leaders unable to work together harmoniously and effectively due to improper orientation and south entrance
Responding to the The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) report that federal government buildings are vulnerable to terrorists and other attacks, representatives of the Global Country of World Peace in Canada said that even with tightened security the Parliament Buildings will always be vulnerable because they are not built in accordance with Natural Law.
'The principle of constructing buildings in complete harmony with Natural Law is available is in the most ancient records of mankind, the Veda and Vedic literature, which contain the knowledge of Total Natural Law—the Constitution of the Universe' said Dr Neil Paterson, representative of the Global Country of World Peace in Canada. 'Such buildings create good fortune for everyone living and working there and become impenetrable to destructive influences.'
Out of eight possible directions for a building to face, only two directions—east and north—produce auspicious influences.
Parliament's south entrance invites negative influences
'The most important principle of architecture in harmony with Natural Law,' explained Fred Klein, prominent Montreal architect and a representative of the Global Country of World Peace, 'is that a building should always be constructed with its orientation aligned to the cardinal directions and its entrances only in the east and north. Our Parliament Buildings, though beautifully designed, have an inauspicious south entrance, which attracts all kinds of adverse influences. The preferred orientation of east is based on the fact that the planet spins towards the east and as such, all the beneficial morning solar and cosmic rays are captured by an east facing entrance.'
Nation's leaders unable to think clearly in wrongly oriented buildings
'The destiny of our country is entrusted to the men and women who work in these buildings,' said Dr Paterson, 'and therefore it is absolutely imperative that their decision-making and actions are executed in environments that ensure their success.'
Dr Paterson explained that the opposition and discord that have long characterised Parliamentary debate are a detriment to the country and, to a large extent, are the product of the improper orientation of the buildings.
'The orientation and design of the Parliament Buildings prevent the Members of Parliament from thinking and acting in accord with the evolutionary force of Natural Law,' said Dr Paterson. 'That is why they are unable to work together harmoniously, and as a result the progress of the nation is being hindered.'
Brain functions better in a properly oriented building
Recent research in neuroscience has revealed that the brain is highly sensitive to orientation, position, and direction in space. This research confirms the importance given in ancient Vedic architecture to proper orientation as a means to improve the brain functioning of a building's inhabitants.
New Parliament buildings should be constructed
The Global Country of World Peace maintains that the only solution for ensuring complete security for the government and for providing an environment that facilitates effective governance is to abandon the current buildings and construct a new Parliament. 'The cost of constructing a new Parliament building would be reclaimed many times over by the increased efficiency of the government,' stated Mr Klein.
'We are ready to provide the complete knowledge and expertise to design a new Parliament,' Mr Klein offered. 'The former Rockcliffe Air Force Base, just a few miles east of Parliament Hill, offers an ideal site for such a development with the Ottawa River auspiciously located to the north.'
Dr Paterson concluded: 'A new Parliament constructed according to Vedic architecture would usher in a new era of government achievement and security.'
Global initiative to reconstruct the world's cities
The Global Country of World Peace was founded in 2000 by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Its purpose is to create permanent peace and unity in the family of nations through the complete knowledge of Natural Law—the Constitution of the Universe—which administers our galactic universe with perfect order.
This knowledge is being provided to governments and people everywhere through local 'Peace Palaces' being established in the 3000 largest cities of the world. The Global Country of World Peace's initiative also calls for the reconstruction of each of these cities according to Natural Law so that the whole city becomes fortune-creating for its inhabitants.
