On 13 November 2005 Pioneer Press reported: The Global Country of World Peace, the organization which promotes the Transcendental Meditation Programme (TM) worldwide, has plans to build a Peace Palace on Saint Paul's East Side. The Twin City paper said the facility will offer classes in TM and Yoga, as well as featuring a store for health products. It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring fulfilment to the field of world peace.

Reporter Matt Peiken noted that the Global Country of World Peace is dedicated to promoting Natural Law and to 'smother the seeds of conflict' through the eventual establishment of 10 such palaces in the Twin Cities area. This goal is part of a larger plan to build one Peace Palace for every 200,000 to 300,000 people around the world. Ultimately 2,400 will be build in the United States and 600 in Europe. Peace Palaces have already been constructed in Lexington, Kentucky; Bethesda, Maryland; Houston, Texas; and Fairfield, Iowa.

Natalie Hansen, co-director of the Minnesota effort to establish Peace Palaces, was quoted as saying, 'It's about creating harmony and bringing a sense of peace to our environment. It allows that silent level of existence within us to be present all the time.'

The buildings will be constructed with organic material and will face east. It was estimated that the development costs for each palace will range from $1 million to $2 million. Ground breaking for the Saint Paul centre is expected in the spring.

Peiken referred to the Global Country's website and reported that the organization wants to embark on a 'global reconstruction programme' that would 'dismantle and rebuild New York City, Paris, and other major cities to encourage 'life in enlightenment, perfect health, affluence, invincibility, and peace.'

Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
