On 25 August 2005 Omaha World-Herald reported:
A 27-acre private park in Seward County, Nebraska (USA), created 11 years ago to promote peace will be the future home of a Peace Palace. The Seward County Peace Palace will be one of 3,000 planned worldwide by the Global Country of World Peace, established by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the Transcendental Meditation Programme.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of world peace.
Reporter Martha Stoddard spoke with Mario Orsatti, 'a spokesman for a related Maharishi organization, the US Peace Government', about the future facility. Orsatti said all of the Peace Palaces are dedicated to spreading individual and world peace, and will offer instruction in the Transcendental Meditation Programme as well as programmes in education, natural health, organic agriculture and Vedic Architecture.
The article noted that the Peace Palace would be built according to the principles of Vedic Architecture, and will cost about three million dollars.
The article reported that recently the Global Country of World Peace announced plans to open Peace Palaces in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Ames, and other Iowa cities. Palaces have already opened in Maharishi Vedic City, just outside Fairfield, Iowa; in Houston, Texas; Bethesda, Maryland; and Lexington, Kentucky.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
