Raja Wynne announced that today on Krishna Janmasthami—a very auspicious day—there will be a ground-breaking ceremony in three locations in Maharishi Vedic City to inaugurate three campuses for 8000—a campus of Maharishi Vedic University for 8000 men, a campus for 8000 ladies, and a medical college for 8000.
The campus for men will be in the center of the 120 acre parcel, directly behind the Rukmapura Park Hotel. The second location, which will be for the Vedic Medical College, will be in the center of the Mandala 4 and Mandala 5 area. The third campus, for ladies, will be at Maharishi Spiritual University.
The unique feature of each of these campuses is that they will be surrounded by a narrow building on all sides. It will be like a great wall ringing the campus, which will create a flying hall for 8000. Maharishi is completely delighted with this design. The building will be 500 meters—1640 feet on a side, and about 30 feet wide—so all 8000 can fly under one roof, and everyone can walk to the flying in 5 minutes.
Inside this great ring for flying will be classrooms, administration and housing for 8000. There will be additional housing outside if more housing is needed.
Maharishi said three rings of 8000 will create a miracle, and that will be the joy of Maharishi Vedic City. He said today has brought a beam of light—a new hope for the world.
