Leader of Maharishi's programmes presented Doctor of World Peace: Dr Bevan Morris lauds global achievements

The Doctor of World Peace degree Honoris causa, conferred on Robert Roth 12 November 2009 by Maharishi University of Management (M.U.M.), was presented by Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace and President of the university.

Dr Roth is Vice President of the David Lynch Foundation and National Director of Expansion for the Global Country of World Peace in the US. The degree was awarded during a beautiful ceremony* at the M.U.M. campus in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.

Dr Morris, in presenting the degree, read the text on the diploma, which enumerated Dr Roth's outstanding achievements and attributes. 'By the authority of the Board of Trustees, I hereby confer upon Robert David Roth a Doctorate of World Peace, Honoris causa,' he began. 'The Board of Trustees of Maharishi University of Management takes pride in awarding the degree to Dr Robert Roth. He is infectiously enthusiastic, boundlessly energetic, ever joyful and youthful, intensely charming, a best friend to all, a brilliant speaker and teacher, and all in the cause of the highest and most noble purposes on earth.' The diploma also noted that Dr Roth is, 'par excellence', a 'supremely effective exponent of the Total Knowledge and techniques of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace and M.U.M., and Maharishi's Master, Guru Dev.**

'Maharishi trained him throughout the decades to be the . . . leader in telling the world press about the totality of Natural Law; and telling them their responsibility to offer to the public useful knowledge that could relieve the suffering of the world, and bring the dawn of a golden age of peace and prosperity. This he has done with great boldness, persistence, patience, and singularly successful results—achieved by no one else in the world.

'In recent years, this work resulted in the historic series of Maharishi's press conferences with Raja John Hagelin that lasted more than five years. Those extraordinary talks are like an encyclopedia for ages to come of everything Maharishi taught the world, offering solutions to all of the world's seemingly intractable problems. For these conferences, Bob wrote beautiful press releases with Maharishi week after week, bringing out every dimension of the profound knowledge Maharishi has offered to us all.

'When Maharishi saw in Raja Hagelin the lighthouse of complete knowledge of the Unified Field for the whole world,' Dr Morris continued, Maharishi directed Dr Roth to always accompany Raja Hagelin—to support him and 'make his greatness known to the world'; and Dr Morris added that Dr Roth has accomplished this with great dedication and 'inspiring effectiveness'.

Dr Morris also noted that Dr Roth 'has served as Raja Hagelin's right-hand man through three US presidential campaigns with the Natural Law Party, helping bring to America knowledge of prevention-oriented government and administration in accord with Natural Law. He accompanied Raja Hagelin around the world again and again to provide him with every kind of support, and played an instrumental role in the establishment and growth of every organization launched by Raja Hagelin in recent years.

'When Maharishi desired that Dr David Lynch become a public voice for invincibility for every nation, Maharishi looked to Bob Roth to organize world tours for Dr Lynch, and to go with him around the world to enlighten every nation—including heads of state—with the reality of transcending through Transcendental Meditation, and its coherence-creating effect on national consciousness.

'As vice president of the David Lynch Foundation, Bob has organized highly successful conferences for university students and professors, high school principals, filmmakers, Native American leaders, and CEOs of major businesses, as well as [organizing] benefit concerts featuring world-famous musicians and celebrities who have extolled the benefits of Transcendental Meditation to the world.

'With his own naturalness and youthful spirit, he's been able to inspire a younger generation to enlighten the world and create world peace through Maharishi's programmes.

'He's the author of two beautifully written books, which are so clear and understandable: Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation and A Reason to Vote, about the Natural Law Party. Both books are widely regarded as indispensable references and have brought Maharishi's knowledge to millions around world. . . .

'Now for 37 yrs, Bob has laboured full time—day and night and often into the morning again—to give his service to our world family and bring them the good news of Maharishi in the world today and of Maharishi's supreme teaching,' Dr Morris said, praising Dr Roth's devoted service to Maharishi in bringing out the greatness of the Vedic Tradition of knowledge.

'Currently Bob is National Director of Expansion for Raja Hagelin's National Administration and the Director of the Center for Leadership Performance at Maharishi University of Management. But the whole world family feels ownership of him and pride in his beautiful life so well spent. He has done justice to the knowledge given to him by Maharishi, and stands as an inspiring example to our generation and to all future generations. We thank heaven that such a soul as this was born into the world . . . .

'With all gratitude to you, Dr Bob Roth, we are honoured to award you with this Doctorate of World Peace.'
