Uganda: Health Education Camp for Women in Rukungiri

The African Women and Girls Organization for Total Knowledge (AWAGO) recently gave presentations on Transcendental Meditation at a Health Education Camp for Women in Rukungiri.
The presentations were given at the invitation of the National Treasurer of the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Union.
Activities included a 1-hour Radio Talk Show speaking about TM, and courses in the TM technique. Thirty-two women learned Transcendental Meditation.
There were also health presentations for women to receive cancer screening, malaria testing and treatment, HIV testing, and health care for pregnant mothers.
