Media Women Redefine Success: ''Health Happiness, Success, and Meditation''
Consciousness Talks Translate This Article
19 September 2015
Leading women in US health care and the media who practice Transcendental Meditation are the subject of a new video featured on ConsciousnessTalks.
ConsciousnessTalks is an online series of TED-style talks focusing on the exploration and development of consciousness by thought leaders in science, the arts, business, and social justice, presenting their vision for a future that unfolds the full potential of human life.
The women were participating in two panels at a Business Luncheon Roundtable—''Health, Happiness, Success, and Meditation''—that took place several months ago in the heart of New York City. The event provided an entertaining and informed introduction to the Transcendental Meditation technique and included personal, first-hand experiences from the following media leaders. In collaboration with the David Lynch Foundation, these women are raising funds to bring this much-needed technique to women and girls who are victims of abuse and violence.
∙ Dr. Jennifer Ashton, OB/GYN; Senior Medical Contributor, ABC
∙ Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum, Lenox Hill Hospital heart specialist; Host, Focus on Health
∙ Cynthia McFadden, Senior Legal and Investigative Correspondent, NBC News
∙ Robin Roberts, Anchor, ABC's Good Morning America
∙ Lesley Seymour, Editor-in-Chief, More Magazine
All proceeds from the event were donated to fund the TM technique for women and girls in New York City who are victims of violence and abuse.
