Health Chat is a live call-in program that addresses health issues of interest to Africa. The show puts listeners directly in touch with guest medical professionals. It includes a weekly feature spot, health news and comments from listeners on health issues. The program is hosted by veteran health reporter Linord Moudou.
Congolese refugee Esperance Ndozi told her story of recovery from PTSD after learning Transcendental Meditation and gave updates on her progress. In addition, experts explained what Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is, the extent of PTSD across Africa, and three research studies on the rapid and cost-effective approach—teaching Transcendental Meditation to those suffering from PTSD—offered by African PTSD Relief. The president of African PTSD Relief, David Shapiro, described current projects across Africa.

Over 340 published research studies document the efficacy of Transcendental Meditation for reducing stress-related disorders and promoting mental and physical health. The (US) National Institutes of Health has awarded over US$26 million for research on the effects of TM with a focus on cardiovascular disease.
