African PTSD Relief has helped to fund and organize research on the TM technique with regard to its effectiveness in reducing PTSD symptoms. Two preliminary, demonstrative studies in Africa have provided promising evidence that this technique has significant value in managing the dramatic problem of PTSD. These research findings, published in peer-reviewed journals, indicate that the TM technique produces reductions in the stress-related symptoms associated with PTSD within a relatively short period of time.
