The curriculum is in place for a new Master of Science in Maharishi AyurvedaSM and Integrative Medicine that will be offered online to health professionals by Maharishi University of Management.

The three-year, part-time curriculum will begin with an introduction to the principles of Maharishi Ayurveda, followed by eight courses based on the eight organ systems classically described by Maharishi Ayurveda, with correlations to modern medical understanding of health and disease. A final phase of the program will provide practical clinical practice.

The goal of this program is to provide theoretical and practical knowledge to enliven the body's inner intelligence—the field of pure consciousness—for prevention and treatment of illness, and promotion of ideal health.

The first course will be taught by Paul Morehead, Ph.D., and guest faculty.

Lessons are recorded, allowing students to view them as their week permits around their work and other life obligations. In addition to faculty feedback on student work, there will be regular webinars with faculty and students. The courses are online, but do have specific start and end dates and a specific progression.

Most of the courses are 4 credits and will take place over a 12-week period.

The program is oriented toward health professionals, such as doctors and nurses, and toward medical students who want to add the burgeoning field of integrative medicine to their practice.
