People in many countries have been enjoying a presentation on 'The Individual is Cosmic', often reporting improvements in their health and well-being as a result.
'The Individual is Cosmic' was created by brain researcher Dr Alarik Arenander, based on the Model of Vedic Physiology developed over many years at Maharishi European Research University (MERU) in the Netherlands.
The model was developed as a practical application of the discovery by neuroscientist Tony Nader, MD, PhD,* under the guidance of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, of the correlation between specific aspects of the Vedic Literature with the structures and functions of human physiology—that the Vedic Literature is the 'blueprint' of the physiology. Dr Nader's discovery is described in great richness and detail in his landmark first book, Human Physiology: Expression of Veda and the Vedic Literature.
Dr Rainer Picha, Minister of Health of the Global Country of World Peace, who worked closely with Maharishi and Dr Nader in his research on the structure of Veda in human physiology, reported recently on the history of the development of the model. The final design was ready for production only after many variations, he said; the Model of Vedic Physiology is now available to people all over the world, due to the dedicated research of Dr Nader and other experts.

Once the model was produced Dr Arenander, a neuroscientist, educator, and researcher in brain development and human potential, created a framework in which to present it, 'The Individual is Cosmic'. The presentation, including a demonstration of the model, has become very popular in locations around the world, as it was clear from the beginning that viewing it had a powerful positive effect on the mind and body. The positive effects, Dr Nader explained, are a combination of several factors that draw the human awareness inward to its most fundamental aspect.
Germán Martina, MD, director of the Transcendental Meditation programme in Argentina, commented that the Model of Vedic Physiology is an important tool that can have an impact on the health of individuals and nations.
At the Maharishi Peace Palace in Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, USA, Maharishi University of Management students and participants in the Invincible America Assembly have attended a 45-minute presentation on the Model of Vedic Physiology. After just a few days people began to report benefits.
Dr Arenander recently brought out further knowledge related to this field, about the 'Youthful Brain', exploring why our brains age and how we can stay youthful. His 'Youthful Brain' discussions examine how individuals, through the knowledge of modern science and Maharishi's Vedic Science and technologies of consciousness, can employ simple techniques to make the best use of their brain throughout life.
Two courses developed by Dr Arenander, based on these valuable applications of knowledge, are offered in summer 2013 at MERU in Holland—a training course in how to present the Model of Vedic Physiology, and one about the Youthful Brain.
* In appreciation for his discovery, Dr Nader was honoured by Maharishi with the title Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam and given responsibility for guiding the Global Country of World Peace.
