Speaking of a new venture to assist partners who want to open Maharishi Ayurveda Health Clinics around the world, Lothar Pirc talked about two existing clinics that have been successful in this field, one in Bad Ems, Germany and the other in Lancaster, Massachusetts, USA.
The Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center in Lancaster was the first to open to the public in the Western world. It was established 26 years ago and has since been a leader in the field of Ayurveda. Mr Pirc has been managing director since 2009.
The Lancaster Center has become widely recognized as a premier facility for effective and authentic Maharishi Ayurveda treatments in the USA. It is located on 200 acres of serene woodlands and landscaped grounds, a perfect setting for the restored 22-room mansion that houses the facility's 15 luxury guest rooms and two floors of designated clinic areas.
According to the Pirc Clinic Consulting website, which specializes in assisting people interested in starting their own Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centres, over 25 highly trained staff at the Lancaster Clinic deliver treatment of the highest quality, setting a standard for Ayurveda health care and Panchakarma (rejuvenation therapy).
New initiatives from Lancaster include participating in 'major Ayurveda and yoga conferences, and we have made wonderful connections to NAMA, which is the National Ayurveda Medical Association,' Mr Pirc said.
He added that this connection with NAMA is bearing fruit.
'Dr Robert Schneider, because of our initiative from Lancaster, is one of the keynote speakers at a national conference of NAMA taking place now on the West Coast.' Dr Schneider is director of the Institute for Natural Medicine and Prevention and an authority on application of the Maharishi Vedic Approach to Health for treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease.
In addition, leaders of the yoga community have reached out, Mr Pirc said, adding that often these people are at the helm of tens of thousands of yoga teachers. He feels that creating a strong connection between yoga communities and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's technologies of consciousness can highlight how yoga can be illuminated by the knowledge that Maharishi has brought to light.
