Relief from the trauma of war - 'After meditating a few weeks, my whole day was stress free'

The Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique, as introduced over 50 years ago by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, is a simple, nonreligious procedure that is easy to learn and practice. The technique is practiced for 20 minutes twice a day, sitting comfortably in a chair with the eyes closed.

Evidence-based stress relief

1. Hundreds of peer-reviewed studies show improvements in health and performance and reductions in stress, anxiety, and depression.

2. The National Institutes of Health have awarded $26 million to study the benefits of the Transcendental Meditation technique in preventing and treating cardiovascular disease, including hypertension, atherosclerosis, stroke, and heart failure.

3. The technique has been successfully implemented in a wide range of institutional settings, including Fortune 100 companies and small businesses, hospitals, inner-city schools, Native American reservations, and prisons.
