During the past year in Algeria, a variety of programmes offered by organizations teaching Transcendental Meditation in the country have brought new knowledge and technologies for development of consciousness, better health, and professional advancement to different areas of society.
One hundred professionals in business, medicine, and law enforcement have heard lectures on the Transcendental Meditation Programme; all were very receptive to learning about scientifically documented benefits of the technique in reducing stress and improving health, brain functioning, and productivity.
Two doctors within the country have been trained in Maharishi Ayur-Veda, the world's oldest, most comprehensive system of natural health care.
Maharishi VedAroma oil production, based at a facility in Algeria, has been highly successful, with 80 certified organic essential oils being produced. An additional production facility will soon be established in Tunisia.
Algeria has also enjoyed regular yearly visits by Vedic experts from India, who have been offering treatments in Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology (MVVT). The MVVT programme is popular in many countries; 100 per cent of those treated in Algeria have expressed satisfaction following treatment.
The Vedic experts have also taught advanced programmes for people who practise Transcendental Meditation, including advanced techniques of TM, and refresher courses in the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme.
