The Urban Zen Foundation and the David Lynch Foundation extend an invitation to join iconic philanthropists David Lynch and Donna Karan, and other thought leaders and learn how they have partnered together to create change from within for veterans and their families who suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
On June 7th, Donna Karan and David Lynch will celebrate the New York City launch of ''Operation Warrior Wellness''. Learn how Transcendental Meditation aids in healing the mind and body as they proudly present Norman E. Rosenthal, M.D., author of Transcendence: Healing and Transformation through Transcendental Meditation (Tarcher/Penguin 2011)—just released June 2. Proceeds from the sale of Dr. Rosenthal's book will be donated to this outreach for veterans.
David and Donna also take great pride in presenting ''The Resilient Warrior Award for 2010'' to former Captain Jerry Yellin, decorated World War II fighter pilot, and Chief Master Sergeant Ed Schloeman (Ret.), Vietnam Marine veteran, who both serve as national co-chairs of Operation Warrior Wellness.
The launch event is presented by the David Lynch Foundation National Host Committee: Russell Brand, Stephen Collins, Candy Crowley, Laura Dern, Bill Duke, Clint Eastwood, Ben Foster, Heather Graham, Laura Harring, Donna Karan, Eva Mendes, Natalie Mendoza, Mehmet Oz, M.D., Gwyneth Paltrow, Bill Pullman, and Rick Rubin.
The event will be held at:
