Guests at the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center in Lancaster, Massachusetts, USA, are experiencing profound benefits from the treatments offered there, especially in the alleviation of chronic diseases.
The Center was fully renovated in June 2009, and at that time also welcomed Lothar Pirc as its new President, along with Karin Pirc, MD, both of whom founded the award-winning Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center in Bad Ems, Germany.
In the one and a half years since then, over 500 guests have visited Lancaster to receive Panchakarma (also known as rejuvenation therapy), the main treatment offered at the Center. Many of these guests have experienced complete relief from their chronic health conditions—in some cases long-term or permanent relief.
For example, one guest with diabetes, after receiving Panchakarma, observed that his blood sugar had reached normal levels during the next appointment with his physician. A guest with high cholesterol found that after the treatment at Lancaster his cholesterol had plummeted to healthy levels. Both of these guests were able to discontinue their medications for the conditions.
In other instances, guests have been able to avoid major surgery by receiving Panchakarma at the Center. One man arrived at Lancaster with such severe back pain that he was unable to walk, and left treatment with significantly lower levels of pain—enabling him to bypass costly and risk-laden surgical procedures.
'The success stories are too many to tell,' said Dr Kingsley Brooks, Vice President of the Health Center. He explained that when guests arrive at the Center, the Vaidya (Ayurvedic health expert from India) identifies the root cause of their diseases, and recommends a tailor-made course of treatment so as to restore balance in each person's physiology. By treating the underlying imbalance, rather than the disease, Ayurveda is able to eliminate the chronic condition.
Dr Brooks added that 'from seeing the results at Lancaster, one can feel confident that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's goal to create a disease-free society is well within reach.'
