United Kingdom: Transcendental Meditation and National Heart Day, 26 February
by Global Good News staff writer

25 February 2010
26 February is National Heart Day in the United Kingdom. Major emphasis will be placed on what people can do for the health of their heart by local doctors, the National Health Service, and the government. As part of this initiative, a campaign is being launched throughout Great Britain to inform the medical profession and the public that Transcendental Meditation is already proven to do exactly what they want to achieve.
'It just needs to be used more widely used under the National Health Service,' commented Raja Peter Warburton, Raja (Administrator) of Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace recently*.
Press releases are being issued locally and nationally, quoting doctors in the country on the effects of Transcendental Meditation on health, as shown by scientific research.
Presentations are being made to a national organization that recently invited anyone with constructive ideas for health care to present their information and become involved in development of policies for the National Health Service. 'This is another indication of changing collective consciousness,' Raja Peter continued.
With heart disease the number one cause of death in Great Britain, this organization has already indicated its readiness to consider scientific research on meditation. 'So recent research on Transcendental Meditation is very signficant,' Raja Peter commented.
Presentations are also being developed on using Transcendental Meditation to promote good health, prevent sickness, and eliminate stress and risk factors for heart disease, to all post-graduate medical education centres and doctors in Great Britain. 'There will be a big outreach around National Heart Day and the scientific research on Transcendental Meditation,' Raja Peter concluded.
* Raja Peter spoke on the 19 February Maharishi Global Family Chat, which is broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
