What better way to participate in National Heart Month in the United States than by improving your heart health through the practice of Transcendental Meditation. Recent research conducted at the Medical College of Wisconsin showed that the Transcendental Meditation (TM) program helped heart disease patients lower cardiac disease risks by 47%.
This is just the latest of many studies that the US National Institutes of Health has supported, which documents the unique effectiveness of the Transcendental Meditation program in improving heart health.
One of these studies, conducted by the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, found the Transcendental Meditation technique to be substantially more effective than any other form of meditation or stress reduction. As reported in news media worldwide, a meta-analysis evaluated nine randomized, controlled trials using Transcendental Meditation as a primary intervention for hypertensive patients.

However, heart health is but one of a wide range of equally important benefits of the Transcendental Meditation program. Visit www.tm.org to get an overview of all the practical and profound benefits of Transcendental Meditation practice.
