On 27 April 2008 St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported:
University of Kentucky researchers have found that Transcendental Meditation can control high blood pressure and is 'less troublsome' than taking anti-hypertension drugs, which may cause negative side-effects.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of health.
Researchers looked at a number of controlled studies on Transcendental Meditation.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported, 'The reductions were enough to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease without drugs, says Dr. James W. Anderson, professor of medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.'
Earlier studies also found that Transcendental Meditation 'produces a statistically significant reduction in high blood pressure that was not found with many other forms of relaxation'.
The study was published in the March issue of the American Journal of Hypertension.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
