Speaking at a recent Global Press Conference on Unified Field-Based Health, Dr Rogers Badgett, Raja (Administrator) of the Global Country of World Peace in the United States, and founder of the world's first Ayurvedic health spa, The Raj, in Maharishi Vedic City, USA, spoke about the value of Consciousness-Based Health Care for living perfect health.

Dr Badgett, who is also a consultant for all the Maharishi Spas and health facilities throughout the US, said that he would like to reiterate what Dr John Hagelin said in his introduction to this Press Conference: 'Learn from others' mistakes. Please don't follow the mistakes that the United States has made for their health care system.'

Today we see even large corporations actually starting to self-insure, said Dr Badgett, which means that they no longer deal with the insurance companies on the level of health, but rather create their own fund for taking care of the health of their employees. The reason they do this is the great ineffectiveness of modern medicine in America today. 'They are starting to monitor the results that health care practitioners are having in their effectiveness in treating various diseases,' said Dr Badgett. 'What they are finding is that prevention oriented medicine, prevention oriented health care, is the necessity of the day. Not only financially, but also in terms of relief from suffering for the people involved in any chronic diseases.

'Health care is really the art and science of realizing perfect health,' said Dr Badgett. 'The ideal state of health is the state of immortality. Perfect health is achieved when health is governed by consciousness, and all levels of the physiology and the environment for the individual and society are perfectly coordinated and remain connected to all other levels—and ultimately with the eternal, unmanifest field of invincibility and immortality, the Unified Field.

'This unmanifest, invincible field of wholeness, of completeness, is the transcendental field at the basis of everything and everyone. This transcendental field, unmanifest, immortal, and invincible, is the ultimate reality of everyone,' said Dr Badgett. 'It is the Self of everyone, our innermost essence. So health care can be brought to perfection only by handling health from its most basic constituent, the Unified Field. Consciousness is the basis of physiology and neurophysiology, therefore health care must be consciousness-based in order to be effective.'

Dr Badgett said that the Global Country of World Peace is offering everyone a passport to perfect health, a passport to a holistic way of functioning; a passport to a long, long healthy life in the direction of immortality. 'And we're not saying a long life with disease, we're saying a long life free of disease, in the direction of immortality.'

To do this, the Global Country is establishing Maharishi Peace Palaces, and Maharishi Vedic Medical colleges, which offer all the Maharishi Vedic technologies for perfect health including Maharishi's Consciousness-Based Health Care, Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology, Transcendental Meditation, the TM-Sidhi Programme and Yogic Flying, which have been scientifically documented in over 600 research studies conducted in the United States and around the world.

'To access this unmanifest, immortal field, the Unified Field of Natural Law, is the fundamental requirement for perfect health,' said Dr Badgett. 'This is what puts consciousness back into the health care system. In this way perfect health is promoted in all the expressions of consciousness, . . . in the balanced and proper functioning of the different systems in our physiology.'
