Dr Nader, who has a PhD in neuroscience from MIT, [spoke] on 'Yoga, consciousness and prevention' and . . . present[ed] the scientific basis of yoga from two points of view: first, the scientific research on the benefits of yoga, of which Transcendental Meditation is a central aspect; and second, how the principles of yoga are found reflected in physics, physiology, and other areas of modern science.
