Global Country of World Peace celebrates leadership of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam

On 10 January the Global Country of World Peace began its annual celebrations of the new year, lauding the achievements of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, honoured by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi as First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace.

Leaders of the Global Country assembled in MERU, Holland and in India praised Maharaja's leadership of Maharishi's worldwide organizations and his great accomplishments in the field of Total Knowledge of Natural Law, brought to light by Maharishi from the ancient Vedic Tradition of India. The new year festivities will culminate in a grand global celebration on 12 January.

The celebration began early in the day at the Global Capital of Raam Raj*—also called the Global Capital of World Peace—at the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India, where a group of 121 Maharishi Vedic Pandits performed Rudrabhishek, special peace-creating Vedic recitation.

The celebration continued in an assembly of Global Country leaders with Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam in MERU, Holland, connected by video conference with the Capital in India and with members of the Global Country in Maharishi Invincibility Centres** around the world.

Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country, speaking from India, quoted expressions in which Maharishi characterized Maharaja's ideal administration based on the knowledge and experience of total Natural Law, describing Maharaja to the press as 'the embodiment of the total field of knowledge'. Referring to Maharaja's discovery of Veda and the Vedic Literature, total Natural Law, in human physiology, Maharishi said that he 'bridged the gap between consciousness and physiology, abstract field of consciousness, intelligence, . . . total Natural Law, unmanifest. Because total Natural Law is not open to destruction, it is eternal. Atma is eternal. Atma is consciousness, it is this field of consciousness which has taken a shape of physiology.'

Continuing to quote Maharishi, Dr Morris said that Maharaja 'has proved in this scientific age, that all the physical sciences that seem to be probing into the reality of the Unified Field, that is the self-referral, eternally awake field of consciousness. So whatever physiology we see, whatever physiology we touch, hear, do, whatever, that is the field of consciousness. Consciousness is the field of Total Knowledge, which is available in the first syllable of Rk Veda, ''A''. On the practical field he proved that this discovery of his made everything consciousness.'

Beautiful videos were also played during the celebration, of Maharishi speaking on this occasion on 10 January in 2004 and 2007. In 2004, Maharishi said,

'This is the target of the First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace: fulfilment of all pursuits of knowledge in the state of eternal Being.*** This gives us, in one point, the infinitely diversified objective of administration. Multitudes of people, millions of people, and everyone has different desires, and everyone's desire will be fulfilled through this formula that is upheld by the First Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace: From knowing to Being. Very beautiful vision of responsibility—not only the beginning of the responsibility, but the fulfilment of responsibility. Knowledge by Being. Administration through knowledge of Being. . . .

'Passage is through knowledge, knowing; arrival is at unbounded infinity, eternity, freedom from any limitations, unlimited life in Unity Consciousness.**** Life in Unity Consciousness, we have been explained by His Majesty, life in abundance, no limitations. So this knowing to Being. This is a great awakening of today.'

Later in his 2004 address Maharishi said, 'The whole theme of the administration of Rajaraam is administration through education, because knowledge is through the channel of education. Knowledge is through education. But education must burst into the goal of education, total Natural Law, infinite possibilities . . . . This is the message of the global administration of world peace, administration through education. Education from knowledge to Being. That is what is going to be the University of World Peace, now this will bring fulfilment to the science and art of administration.'

Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam expressed his deep appreciation for the knowledge of total Natural Law brought out to the world by Maharishi, and for all the leaders and members of the Global Country of World Peace in every country; and his wishes for all the people of the world to live in peace and happiness through the full blossoming of Maharishi's programmes.

A special recitation of the forty aspects of the Veda and Vedic Literature was also performed by the large group of Vedic Pandits in India. Dr Girish Varma, Director-General of the Global Capital of Raam Raj, and leader of Maharishi's programmes in India, explained that through the application of Maharaja's discovery of Veda and Vedic Literature in the physiology, through such Vedic performances all the coming generations would be disease-free.

Dr Varma also expressed everyone's wishes for the whole world to enjoy the benefit of the practical programmes offered by the Global Country; and for Maharaja and his administration to enjoy long life in perfect health, and continue to guide the destiny of the world to create Heaven on Earth.

Other Global Country leaders, including Dr John Hagelin, Administrator of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in the United States, also expressed appreciation for Maharaja's leadership. The celebration concluded with a ceremonial performance by royal bagpipers in MERU.

* In January 2008 Maharishi designated the Global Capital at the Brahmasthan India as the Global Capital of Raam Raj (administration through Natural Law, Heaven on Earth).
