Many new developments in Nepal—including two recent conferences in education and agriculture, establishment of coherence-creating groups of Maharishi Vedic Pandits, and opening of Maharishi Invincibility Centres—demonstrate the increasing momentum to adopt programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Vedic Science and technologies of consciousness, for the enlightenment, health, and good fortune of the nation.

At the international Agriculture Conference in Kathmandu on 24 September 2010, experts including Dr John Konhaus, of Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture Institute, spoke to a large delegation of governmental officials and representatives of organic agriculture companies. The conference established a strong feeling of cooperation between leaders in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture and directors of agriculture in Nepal.

A prominent farmer in Janakpur, Nepal, who practises the Transcendental Meditation Programme, recently invited a group of experts in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture to visit his land. The warm, humid climate and flat landscape of the region are ideal for vigorous plant growth, and projects for Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture are taking shape for this area.

The International Conference on Consciousness-Based Education, held two days earlier on 22 September in Kathmandu, also inspired an enthusiastic response among guests. The event included presentations by Dr Susie Dillbeck, President of the International Foundation of Consciousness-Based Education, on Vedic technologies, including Transcendental Meditation and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, which have been researched in the West and shown to help the student assimilate knowledge without stress, improve grade point average and health, and directly experience the source of wakefulness and bliss.

A Maharishi Invincibility Centre,* perfectly oriented according to Vastu principles of Vedic Architecture, has been established in central Kathmandu, along with a neighbouring facility for the Global Mother Divine Organization* of Nepal.

Supporting all of these endeavours, groups of Maharishi Vedic Pandits have been performing Yagyas—special Vedic performances to enliven Natural Law and create life-supporting effects—at a facility in Kathmandu.

* Maharishi Invincibility Centres in major cities around the world offer the knowledge and programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, including the Transcendental Meditation Programme, to promote enlightenment for every individual and invincibility for every nation through development of full potential in all areas of life.

** 'Mother Divine' refers to the nourishing, evolutionary power of Natural Law lively within all of creation and within the silent consciousness of everyone. The Global Mother Divine Organization, established in December 2007, is the ladies' wing of the Global Country of World Peace in 192 countries.
