4 February 2010
A 16-hour course on Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture will be held in Turkey in April.
This course is not only for agricultural professionals, said Dr Albert Baruh, National Director of Turkey for the Global Country of World Peace, recently.* The information in the course 'is very useful for all of us', he commented. Dr Baruh hopes that many people will attend, to learn of the benefits of Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture—agriculture that is fully in harmony with Natural Law.
Announcement of the course follows recent presentations in Turkey by Raja Paul Potter, Raja of Turkey for the Global Country, and Raja Dr John Fagan, Raja with Global Responsibility for Food Purity and Safety for Healthy Invincibility.
During their two-week stay in the country, Raja Fagan and Raja Paul gave many presentations and press interviews. In Ankara they met with the Ministry of Agriculture and the University of Agriculture, the Chamber of Agricultural Engineers, and other agriculture-related organizations.
At one university, Raja Paul and Raja Fagan spoke to 800 students and faculty members; and in the city of Adana, a panel discussion about genetically modified organisms was held at the university. More than 300 students and faculty members participated.
In Istanbul, Raja Fagan also appeared on two television shows, and was interviewd by newspapers and magazines. 'The visit of Raja Fagan awakened public awareness about the hazards of genetically modified organisms and the importance of organic food,' Dr Baruh said. A university in Ankara would like to start a joint project to research the benefits of Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture.
Raja Fagan also initiated a project to export organic products of Turkey to the Western world. This project will support bringing Maharishi Vedic Pandits to Turkey to create invincibility for the nation, through their group practice of the Transcendental Meditation Programme and Maharishi Yagya performances, Dr Baruh said.
* Dr Baruh spoke on the 27 January Maharishi Global Family Chat, which is broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3. Podcasts of the daily Global Family Chat (audio track) are also now available for automatic download, via an RSS feed.
