Algeria: Cultivating world peace through education and Vedic organic agriculture

Innovative education and agriculture projects are the focus of a group of Algerians dedicated to creating an ideal society. Their goal is to create an invincible national consciousness—characterized by self-sufficiency, affluence, and peace.

With the support of the Global Country of World Peace, the group is utilizing programmes for every area of society, developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Transcendental Meditation Programme.

Plans are underway to establish a collaboration between Maharishi University of Management in the USA, and business schools in Algeria. The university not only offers degree programmes in the sciences, business, arts, and humanities, but also includes Consciousness-Based Education to develop full mental potential, and create an influence of positivity for the nation.

Earlier this summer, one hundred doctors, educators, lawyers, police, architects, and other civic leaders in Algiers attended a presentation on Consciousness-Based Education by Dr Michael Dillbeck, Raja (Administrator) of the Global Country of World Peace for Algeria.

In other initiatives, Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture is becoming a means to create invincibility for the nation that was once the 'breadbasket of the Roman Empire'.

Over the past several years, the National Director in Algeria for the Global Country of World Peace spearheaded a manufacturing company to produce organic, therapeutic essential oils. The company is now distributing VedAroma products in the USA and Europe, and won an award as 'Exporter of the Year—2008' from the Algerian World Trade Centre Association.

Plans are underway to establish a new company to distribute organic food, which will be among the first of its kind in the nation. The company will also import Maharishi Ayur-Veda Health Products. The funds from these projects will support national invincibility and world peace.
