This is third in a series of reports on the recent presentation by Raja Pat Barrett , Raja (Administrator) of Saint Lucia, Malaysia, Rwanda, and Finland for the Global Country of World Peace, on 14 July 2008, the first day of the 11-day global Guru Purnima Assembly in MERU, Netherlands.
Speaking about Saint Lucia, Raja Barrett said that plans are underway to revitalize Saint Lucia's once-flourishing banana industry by developing the Maharishi Vedic Agriculture Programme in both private-sector farming and government correctional facilities. He said this will address several concerns at once—creating jobs, solving the problems of crime, and creating prosperity for the nation through Vedic organic agriculture.
Also in Saint Lucia, a very successful wave of instructions in the Transcendental Meditation Programme resulted from the work of a visiting teacher from the USA. To continue this project Raja Barrett invited qualified Teachers of Transcendental Meditation who are interested in living in beautiful Saint Lucia for some time to contact the Global Country of World Peace.
Global Good News will feature in the coming days Raja Barrett's report on the success of Maharishi's programmes in Rwanda and Finland.
