Maharishi's contribution in the field of agriculture - Part I - Raja John Fagan
by Global Good News staff writer

25 July 2008
Following the theme for this year's global Celebration of Guru Purnima by the Global Country of World Peace*—celebrating Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's contributions to the world—Raja John Fagan, who is responsible for all issues of food safety and purity for the invincibility of the world, spoke on 19 July 2008 about the understandings Maharishi has given to everyone about the purity of food and the purity of consciousness.
Maharishi guided Raja Fagan for many years on the issues of food purity. Raja Fagan was the pioneer of opposition to genetic engineering in the world on the level of food supply. Maharishi guided Raja Fagan to establish Maharishi Invincibility Laboratories to secure in every nation the purity of all the food supply, which Maharishi felt was absolutely critical to the invincibility of every nation in the world.
Raja Fagan began his talk by reminding everyone that Maharaja Adhiraj Raja Raam had said in his address on the day of Guru Purnima, 18 July 2008, that Maharishi's contribution to the world is absolute. Raja Fagan added that Maharishi's gift in every area of life is immeasurable, infinite, and 'what we find therefore is infinity, Totality, everywhere, in every area of life. And now we talk about one more area—the area of food purity and safety, or healthy invincibility for the world.'
Raja Fagan explained that Maharishi's first gift in this area is the gift of understanding: an understanding of what is the supreme value of purity and safety and healthiness, and also the supreme value of food itself. 'Purity is Totality, Brahm,' Maharishi had said, and when it comes to safety Maharishi said: 'Only that which is Total Knowledge-based, that which is completely in tune with all aspects of Natural Law, is truly safe and secure.'
'For health, we come back to Maharaja Adhiraja Raja Raam's wonderful and most profound discovery that human physiology is pure consciousness,' said Raja Fagan. 'It is divine on that level—and therefore healthiness must be that which allows the individual to live the full value of that birthright that Maharaja Adhiraj Raja Raam discovered.'
Raja Fagan said that when it came to food, Maharishi quoted the Vedic Literature: Annam Brahm, Raso Vishnur, Bhokta devo Maheshwara, meaning 'Food is Brahm; and vitality, the nourishing aspect of food, is Vishnu; and the eater, Bhokta, is Devo Maheshwara, Shiva: Shivam shantam adwaitam, that silent value.'
'So he gives us this vision,' explained Raja Fagan, 'of Totality, Vishnu, feeding Totality to the total silence of Shiva. The whole picture is one of totality of Brahm, and bringing this to the individual level, it brings us back to the key point that, in terms of the individual, the supreme value of food and of digestion and of eating is in culturing that quality of Unity Consciousness, in which we can fully experience that reality of Totality feeding Totality to Totality.'
Global Good News will feature further parts of Raja Fagan's talk in the coming days.
