Vedic farming: All of nature--the soil, the seed, and the weather--in favour of the life of the farmer

Speaking at a recent Global Press Conference on Unified Field-Based Agriculture, Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, said there is an expression Maharishi Mahesh Yogi quotes which new farmers will learn as an essential point of their understanding of how to be a supremely successful farmer.

This expression says that in the time of the administration of total natural law, when things were done from the level of the Unified Field, then rain fell just for the requirement of even one farmer. If even one farmer needed rain, the rain fell on his farm. That was how specific and complete the support of nature was for the farmers in that ancient time, and that time is now coming back to the world again.

'These are the qualities of Vedic farming in the Vedic consciousness of the farmer, the fundamental requirement of farming from this point on,' Dr Morris said.

Dr Morris quoted from one of Maharishi's books, Celebrating Perfection in Education, about Vedic farming, farming that is fully in accord with natural law: 'The soil, the seed, and the weather conditions will all be in favor of the private and professional life of the farmer. In short, the fortune of the Vedic Farmer will blossom in affluence. The farmer's life will blossom in its parental role for the whole nation. The gift of the Vedic Farmer and Vedic Farming will be a new dawn for health and happiness, season after season.

'Every harvest season will witness the smile of angels in Heaven, and the new taste of healthy food. Timely winds, timely rains, and timely sunshine will be at the disposal of the farmer to support every step of his profession, season after season . . . the happy farmer entering his field will be welcomed by the smiles of every plant in his field. He will celebrate the waves of higher consciousness within himself every day in his home, and bless the whole population, season after season, generation after generation.'
