Raja John Konhaus recently spoke from the Global Financial Capital of New York on the topic of Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture and how it can help harmonize the imbalances in nature that contribute to global warming.
Raja Konhause said: 'There has been tremendous violation of Natural Law in terms of the physical environment. Extreme pollution, extreme poisoning of the land, extreme pollution of the air. It's been summarized now in the phrase global warming.
'What global warming represents is a disruption of the harmony in nature—a disruption of the balance in nature experienced as the weather patterns. Weather is just the expression of how nature is feeling, how nature is functioning . . . . All over the world now we are experiencing disruptive weather patterns, whether it's flood, or whether it's droughts.
'In the United States today we are in the midst of the worst drought in a hundred years, because we have not respected this principle of science which says we must care for the Laws of Nature. . . . '
With Vedic Organic Agriculture, however, these imbalances in nature can be redressed and transformed in very simple and practical ways.
'Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture is the science and technology of transformation,' said Raja Konhaus. 'In Vedic Agriculture, we have to take soil, and air, and water, and sunlight and turn it into food that we can eat and that can nourish our body. We want to transform—with that food—a suffering, problem ridden society into a Vedic society of happiness and prosperity. We want to make these transformations on the basis of Vedic Agriculture—so we need a powerful science of transformation.'
