The Excellence In Action page of Global Good News is featuring a new book by Dr. Scott Herriott, dean of the Maharishi University of Management (MUM) College of Business.*

Published March 11th, Metrics for Sustainable Business: Measures and Standards for the Assessment of Organizations offers a method to analyze the certification and rating systems now used to evaluate the sustainability of companies. It is part of a series on environment and sustainability published by Routledge, the world's leading academic publisher in the humanities and social sciences for the last 100 years.

The publisher describes Metrics for Sustainability as ''the first book to give students a comprehensive understanding of sustainability in organizations from an accounting perspective. The book walks students through the steps for doing a sustainability assessment, and aims to develop them into financial analysts who understand sustainability reports and are able to create or audit them.''
