Efficiency and effectiveness in higher learning
A new postgraduate certificate program in lean higher education administration will begin this fall at Maharishi University of Management for students who already hold a master's degree.*
The pressure for excellence has been forcing corporations to learn lean management over the past decade or so, and that pressure is now being felt by colleges and universities. Lean Higher Ed uses new technologies, alternative instructional designs, and advanced administrative practices to do less and accomplish more.**
Implementing lean management in higher education will allow colleges and universities to dramatically improve the satisfaction of all their stakeholders while streamlining their operations.
This postgraduate certificate program in Lean Higher Education requires a master's degree in business or a related field, or a master's degree and related work experience, plus qualification for an intern position at Maharishi University of Management through the Human Resources Department. This program is designed as a 12-month program, offered on-campus in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.
Students will enroll in four credits per semester plus two credits of internship per semester while also serving as interns at MUM in areas where lean principles are being applied.
For more information visit MUM Business Department Graduate Certificates, or email Dr. Scott Herriott at firstname.lastname@example.org.
* The program is one of two new postgraduate certificate programs that will begin this fall for students who already hold a master's degree. The other new program this year is offered through the MUM Department of Maharishi Vedic Science.
** Among other special features of the unique approach to graduate business administration at Maharishi University of Management, students learn the most widely practiced, extensively researched, and most effective method of self-development in the world. All students practice the simple, natural technique of Transcendental Meditation each day to improve learning ability, optimize brain functioning, and reduce stress.
