Jason Aviles was born in the Bronx, New York City, and lived in public housing projects for over 10 years. As a child, he faced many obstacles and negative influences from his environment, but he found the courage to stay true to his heart and overcame his circumstances. He wanted to help young people achieve the same success, so he worked in educational facilities, businesses, and a maximum security youth prison.

Wanting to inspire young people to find their inner greatness, he started the Be You Be Great Youth Program, a not-for-profit organization providing young people with activities and tools to help them discover their true potential.

One day Jason saw an ad on Facebook^® for Consciousness-Based education and he intuitively decided to explore it. He came to Maharishi University of Management (MUM) in the fall of 2011.

''MUM has raised my awareness of the importance of incorporating the TM technique,'' said Jason. ''Now I am including TM as one of our programs under the personal growth and development area.''
