As an example of just how popular eco-friendly construction is in the United Kindgom, even Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, has been speaking recently about sustainable building.
According to Dr Peter Warburton, Chairman of Maharishi Foundation UK and a leading proponent of Maharishi Vastu architecture, Prince Charles has even launched his own sample ecohouse which people can buy and build in different parts of the country.
Dr Warburton added that he and other supporters of Maharishi Vastu architecture would like to discuss with Prince Charles about Maharishi Vastu, a 'supreme level of eco construction'.
One way experts spread the word about Vastu construction was at the recent Ecobuild exhibition in London.
Henry Brighouse, a coordinator for Maharishi Vastu architecture in the UK, spoke of his experiences at the exhibition, one of the largest in the world.
'People really enjoyed hearing about [Vastu]. We had many professionals coming to visit the site. We had young people and students.'
Even a group of town planning students dropped by and were impressed, Mr Brighouse said.
They 'were absolutely fascinated by this idea, and nothing in their education had actually told them there was a system for designing a city in the right way, right from the beginning.'
Mr Brighouse mentioned that in the Ecobuild exhibition, most visitors pass through to learn about the latest technological advances in tackling climate change and creating more energy efficiency. What the Vastu architecture booth was able to offer, in addition to eco-friendly construction, was the idea that buildings, communities, and cities can be built according to a greater plan. They can be built in alignment with Natural Law.
Mr Brighouse said, 'Literally hundreds of people got exposure to Maharishi Vastu, and many people took away information and very favorable impressions of building in tune with Natural Law. I think it was very comforting to some people to hear about it, to know that there was an orderly solution which was totally in harmony with Natural Law.'
