The continuing success of the Transcendental Meditation Programme for students was highlighted in a recent report from a Latin American country.
What started with just one small school incorporating the meditation technique into the daily routine of its students is now set to expand as more schools in the country want to utilize Transcendental Meditation as well.
In one city, the programme was implemented in a school with the care and attention to each participant characteristic of Consciousness-Based Education programmes around the world. The Transcendental Meditation teachers maintained a close process of communication with all the different members of the school—every student, teacher, and administrator—throughout the process.
This contributed to the success of the project, they said, with students enjoying deep experiences in meditation and good results in their school work. As a result, news of the programme spread by word of mouth, and now more schools are requesting to implement meditation in their curriculums.
One such school recently published its intention to bring meditation to the school in the campus newspaper. In addition, local press published the story when teachers of Transcendental Meditation visited the school to launch the programme.
The next step will be to teach the advanced Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying, to those children who have requested to learn.
