Consciousness-Based Education is expanding in Canada, with more students enjoying this effective system of education, which includes the Transcendental Meditation Programme and its wide-ranging benefits for students, teachers, and parents.
One Maharishi School in Canada, established over 20 years ago, currently offers Consciousness-Based Education through sixth grade. New support for the school, including significant tuition assistance, will make it possible for many more students to attend the school.
Potential expansion plans include acquiring more land, another school building, and offering Consciousness-Based Education through high school—as well as expansion to other locations.
Students at a nearby First Nations school also enjoy Consciousness-Based Education.
'There is so much happening now in education in [the region] that it's a very great moment,' said an administrator of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in Canada.
Growing interest in Consciousness-Based Education is a global phenomenon. Dr Ashley Deans, Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education, commented on enthusiasm for the programme in many countries.
Dr Deans,* who regularly tours countries around the globe inspiring students, educators, and the public about Consciousness-Based Education, recently travelled to Canada to help with education initiatives in that country.
* Dr Deans is also Executive Director of Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.
