The tour of Dr Ashley Deans, Global Ambassador for Consciousness-Based Education and Executive Director of Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment, inspired schools and private universities in Macedonia last year.
Everywhere he spoke, there was tremendous interest, said a young teacher of the Transcendental Meditation Programme from Macedonia.
Private schools were particularly interested in offering their students the many benefits of Consciousness-Based Education and Transcendental Meditation.
Two private universities want to implement the programme, and the faculty of the many secondary schools he visited were also eager to explore the possibility of beginning Consciousness-Based Education.
The media also helped spread Dr Deans' message. A journalist who attended one of the Consciousness-Based Education presentations wrote a five-page article, which was featured on the cover of a top magazine, the teacher continued. The story was entitled '200 Macedonians can save Macedonia'.
It has been a very fruitful year in many areas, in addition to progress in the field of education, the teacher said, reporting on 13 January. Every month there are more people learning Transcendental Meditation.
