Maharishi University of Management (MUM) in Fairfield, Iowa, USA, has recently launched its first distance education courses, with a significant increase in student enrolment. The university plans to increase its distance offerings in the coming year.

This winter, MUM launched its first distance education course in self-pulse diagnosis, in which 21 students enrolled. At the end of February, the second distance course began—Foundations of Physics and Consciousness, taught by Dr John Hagelin, with 250 students.

In the near future the university hopes to offer further distance education opportunities in Maharishi Yoga Asanas, the Bhagavad-Gita, the Science of Creative Intelligence, and ultimately whole degree programmes online such as the Master's in Business Administration.
