The Album features the new Sustainable Living Center, moving ahead in construction at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA. The design incorporates many innovative, eco-friendly features, enabling the building to be totally self-sustaining in terms of electricity, with photovoltaic panels and a wind generator; and for heating with solar hot water and geothermal heaters.
The building will be unique in several respects: First, it will meet the certification criteria for three different rating systems: not only LEED Platinum certification, the most commonly sought for green structures; but others that are more rare and challenging to achieve—the Living Building Challenge and Building Biology. No other building in the world has ever strived to achieve all three types of certification.
Beyond this, the building will also meet all the Vastu specifications of Maharishi Vedic architecture.
