Global 12 January celebrations: Education to make the total potential of Natural Law available for everyone - Maharishi

The global celebration of 12 January by the Global Country of World Peace—inaugurating Maharishi's Fourth Year of Invincibility – Global Raam Raj*—continued featuring a video of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's historic address from 12 January 1980.

Maharishi presented the need for the awareness of everyone to be 'fully wide-awake' in pure knowledge, the total potential of Natural Law, so that its infinite organizing power will serve their every intention, for maximum fulfilment in life and freedom from weakness and suffering. He also discussed plans to provide education to bring this knowledge to everyone in the world. Maharishi said,

'We feel the need for all mankind, at all times, is essentially the need for knowledge—need for pure knowledge, where all the tree of knowledge is available. Knowledge in so many different values—through the eyes, how many things we see; through the ears, how much we hear—all the five senses, the roads of experience, this huge, enormous, everything can't even be experienced. If we go on running through every channel of senses, it's not possible have it. Such an unfathomable field of experience, it can't be completely fathomed by experiencing one after the other.

'What we want is, open the gates of all experience at any time, all experience at all times, for the whole mankind. Use of total potential of Natural Law, we have to make available for every activity of every man, and lay a foundation for every generation to have this, so that everyone is always fulfilled. So this need of mankind for pure knowledge we have to fulfil.

'We have to now think how we'll fulfil the need of all mankind for pure knowledge, so that everyone is fully wide-awake in the field of all possibilities—everyone is fully wide-awake in pure consciousness, in the structure of pure knowledge. And because knowledge is organizing power, we want everyone's awareness to be lively in the total potential of organizing power, so that what he thinks gets organized for him. We have to educate every man in the world to that skillful performance of his thinking process that the nature, the total nature, the total power of Natural Law, serves his every little intention.

'Fortunately, very fortunately for all mankind, and very fortunately for us, who feel the parental role for all nations in the world, all the values of pure knowledge are available. We have learned how to perform from that level of different values of pure knowledge from our own consciousness. The Sidhi Programme** has given us those onroads into the field of performance where we can open any area of pure knowledge and perform from there.

'So we, whose delight it is to provide enlightenment to all mankind, are blessed with the ready-made package of pure knowledge in the Vedic Literature. We have the Vedic Literature which opens the petals of the flower of knowledge, which we can use and which we can profusely give to the people everywhere so that they stop being weak, they stop suffering.

'When we think of weakness, where is the weakness? Weakness is in ignorance. The fruit is weak—that means the fruit did not align itself with the root. The man is weak—that means he has not aligned with the field of pure knowledge. Perception is weak—means consciousness is weak, the perceiver is weak. So weakness in life, in any area of performance, or action, or results—it only means his awareness is not open to itself completely; and therefore his awareness is not carrying the structure of pure knowledge; and therefore the total potential of Natural Law is not available; and therefore the field of action is weak.'

Fortunately, Maharishi continued, 'we have got to know the mechanics of how Nature functions, and . . . we have developed the skill in action so that we can act within ourselves, and we have seen how wonderful it is. That is what we will be joyfully distributing to the people all around the world. The whole world is our undertaking.' Maharishi said that in the assembly this day, they would plan for the distribution of this great wisdom of pure knowledge for every country in the world.
