A new network of accredited Consciousness-Based Education universities is being developed in Latin America.
The Maharishi Universities will offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in traditional subjects such as business, computer science, and accounting. The programmes of study will be supported by and offered in collaboration with existing Consciousness-Based Education institutions such as Maharishi University of Management in the US and Maharishi Vedic Universities in India and Europe.
Significantly, this new form of accredited Consciousness-Based Education university has been endorsed by a prominent association of higher education institutions within Latin America, which comprises nearly 200 well-established universities.
In addition to this development, two countries—Guyana and Suriname—will soon be establishing Maharishi Vedic Universities, which will enroll students mainly from indigenous communities.
Raja Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Invincible Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace, gave this report on 28 September 2010.
