Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Total Knowledge Chart was recently presented in England by an expert who worked closely with him on its development.

Maharishi developed the chart as a visual presentation of his Vedic Science, during the first Raja (Administrator) Training Courses of the Global Country of World Peace in MERU, Holland, in 2004 and 2005. At the time, Maharishi said, 'Pictorially it will be very dramatic, and it will convey that the whole theme of education [at Maharishi Vedic University] is very systematized.'

This chart is 'not just an accidental graphic', explained Raja Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible Great Britain for the Global Country. The Total Knowledge Chart portrays Maharishi's cognition of how to explain all knowledge in one vision. 'It is a beautiful display,' Raja Peter said. He recounted that in 2004, when a senior educator in the European Union in Belgium saw the first version of the Total Knowledge Chart, he immediately recognized that it was the total vision of the educational process. He became very inspired and wanted to know more and more about it.

'This is the power of this chart,' Raja Peter said, 'and it has been used very widely since then.'

Raja Peter went into detail, describing Maharishi's explanation of the Total Knowledge Chart. Two approaches are depicted in the chart, which are contradictory to each other: converging and diverging. Maharishi said that both these approaches must be used in order to gain Total Knowledge. This is 'a very key point, which is elaborated in the chart', Raja Peter said.

The upper portion of the chart displays knowledge of the relative, outer field of life—pertaining to Maharishi's programmes for 12 different areas of society; the lower portion reveals knowledge in the field of Transcendental Consciousness, the Veda, total Natural Law, the Constitution of the Universe.

In the middle is the point where the top and bottom portions converge. Raja Peter explained that the top of the chart displays the maximum level of diversity; and the bottom also shows the level of diversity; and the middle represents convergence from both directions. Raja Peter described Maharishi's explanation that the knowledge is 'collapsed to a point' in the Unified Field [through the process of convergence] and then back to the 'diversified field' again [through the process of divergence].

Quoting Maharishi, Raja Peter said: 'Analysis and synthesis is what produces the result—which is beyond analysis, and beyond synthesis.' Analysis and synthesis is the process through which Total Knowledge is unfolded in our own awareness. This is Vedic Education, Maharishi explained.

Raja Peter's complete explanation of Maharishi's Total Knowledge Chart is available on the 24 September Maharishi Global Family Chat, which is broadcast daily via Internet webcast on the Maharishi Channel, Channel 3.
