Information on the Internet as well as events at schools and universities is creating increased interest in Transcendental Meditation among Germany's young people.

Dr Eckhart Stein, eminent professor of quantum physics and National Director of Education for the Global Country of World Peace in Germany, recently spoke about progress in this area. His talk was part of a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's first visit to Germany.*

Young people are finding information about the Transcendental Meditation Programme on Facebook® and YouTube, Dr Stein said.**

German subtitles have been added to YouTube videos from the US, and the number of German interviews about Transcendental Meditation on YouTube is expanding.

One of the most successful Teachers of Transcendental Meditation in Germany gave an interview, which Dr Stein said was incredibly inspiring.

She speaks beautifully about the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, but it is her personality and radiance that make her talk so compelling, Dr Stein said.

Schools and universities provide another avenue to offer Maharishi's programmes to young people, Dr Stein continued.

In collaboration with a university's music department, a large Maharishi Gandharva Veda music concert was recently held. The concert, which featured a very famous flautist, drew a packed audience.

Students at this university will also soon have the opportunity to hear about the Transcendental Meditation Programme, Dr Stein said.

In the coming days, Global Good News will continue to feature reports from Dr Stein and other National Directors.
