Please click on the following link to read more about 'Winnebago Elders Give Talk'. The article features a presentation given last month by the Hocak Elders Council of the Winnebago Tribe in Nebraska, at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.

The presentation was about the origins and rapid expansion of interest in the Transcendental Meditation Programme among American Indians.

The elders also spoke about the knowledge of enlightenment from their native traditions and how it parallels Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's description of enlightenment from the Vedic tradition.

The David Lynch Foundation has provided support for members of several tribes to learn Transcendental Meditation.
