Dominica: Cognitive learning expert to present Transcendental Meditation health benefits, native Caribbean peoples learn about Transcendental Meditation

Dr Sarina Grosswald,** in an upcoming visit to Dominica, will be delivering a public presentation on the health benefits of the Transcendental Meditation Programme, emphasizing recent findings concerning cognitive development, behavioural improvements, reduced need for medication for disorders such as ADHD, and decreased violence among students practising the technique.

Dr Grosswald will also meet with researchers at a medical school in Dominica, to discuss a potential collaborative study testing the effects of Transcendental Meditation practice among prisoners on the island.









These and other developments in Dominica were highlighted in a recent report by Raja Lucien Mansour, Raja of Invincible Dominica for the Global Country of World Peace, on Maharishi Global Family Chat.*

Other areas of national life are showing interest in the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

An official in the area of culture is helping organize to introduce Transcendental Meditation to the remaining 3,600 native Caribbean people residing in eastern Dominica. The Winnebago Tribe in Nebraska, USA, whose members have benefited greatly from TM practice, has been a prime inspiration for this endeavour. The organizer is currently participating in the Invincible America Assembly at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA.

Other potential plans are unfolding to offer Transcendental Meditation to juvenile offenders in a prison in Dominica. The prison superintendent is a 30-year practitioner of the technique. Meditation.
